About This Tool
A PSD is only openable by people who own Photoshop, which is rarely the client who needs to approve the design. Sending the working file also means sending every hidden layer, every abandoned version and every note you left for yourself.
Converting to PDF uses the flattened composite - the image as the file appears when opened - and produces a document anyone can view on any device. Layer structure is not carried across, which in a review context is the point.
Both PSD and the large-document PSB format are supported, and several files can be converted into a single multi-page PDF, which is how most design reviews want to receive a set of concepts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are layers preserved?
No. The flattened composite is used, which is what makes the output viewable everywhere.
What about hidden layers?
They are excluded, exactly as they are when the file is opened in Photoshop. The composite reflects visible layers only.
Do smart objects and adjustment layers render correctly?
They appear as baked into the composite. Their effects show; their editability does not survive.
Is PSB supported?
Yes. Large Document Format files convert the same way, though very large canvases take longer.
