Financial statements, price lists and statistical reports arrive as PDFs, and the numbers in them are read-only. Retyping a 200-row table is slow and introduces errors in exactly the places that matter.
This detects the table structure and writes it into an XLSX file with values in individual cells - so a column of figures is a column you can sum, not a paragraph of text. Multiple tables can go to separate worksheets, which keeps a multi-table report navigable.
Detection works best on tables with visible ruling lines or consistent column alignment. Tables held together only by whitespace, and cells spanning several columns, are where you should expect to check the output.

Reliable for tables with ruling lines or clean column alignment. Whitespace-only tables and merged cells need checking.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Not directly. Run OCR PDF first so there is a text layer to work from.
Are numbers real numbers in Excel?
Numeric-looking cells are written as numbers so you can calculate with them. Currency symbols and thousands separators may need a format pass.
What if I only want the raw table data?
