Sobre esta ferramenta
Booklet printing has a counterintuitive requirement. To make a folded, stapled booklet read correctly, the pages must be printed in a scrambled order - on a 16-page booklet, the first sheet carries pages 16 and 1 on one side and 2 and 15 on the other. Working that out by hand is where the mistakes happen.
This calculates the imposition for you. Give it the document and it reorders and pairs the pages so that printing double-sided, folding the stack down the middle and stapling the spine produces a booklet that reads 1, 2, 3 straight through.
Page counts are padded to a multiple of four automatically, because a folded sheet always produces four pages. Standard paper sizes are supported, and the preview shows which pages land on which sheet before you print anything.

Perguntas frequentes
Why is the page order scrambled?
Because folding reorders them. Sheet one carries the last and first pages together; the imposition accounts for the fold.
What if my page count is not a multiple of four?
Blank pages are added automatically. A folded sheet always yields four pages, so the total has to be divisible by four.
Which duplex setting do I need?
Double-sided with short-edge binding. Long-edge binding produces upside-down alternate pages.
Does this work for thick documents?
Saddle stitching works up to roughly 60 to 80 pages before the fold bulges. Beyond that, split into signatures and bind them separately.
