Add Page Numbers
Stamp page numbers onto a PDF. Choose position, a format such as Page 3 of 40, a starting number, and which pages to skip.

Sobre esta ferramenta
Merged documents almost never carry sensible page numbers. Each source file counted from 1, so the combined 120-page bundle has a dozen page 1s and no way for anyone to cite it.
This stamps a fresh, continuous sequence onto the pages. Pick a corner or centre position, choose the format - a bare numeral, 3 of 40, Page 3, or a custom pattern - and set the font size and margin so the number sits clear of existing content.
Two options matter more than they sound. Starting number lets you continue from a previous volume, and skip pages lets the cover and contents stay unnumbered while page 1 lands on the first page of real content, which is what most style guides ask for.

Casos de uso
Numbering a merged bundle
Eight documents combined into one now have a single continuous sequence a reviewer can reference.
Court and discovery paperwork
Filings often require every page numbered consecutively across the whole bundle, exhibits included.
Front matter that stays unnumbered
Skip the cover and contents so numbering starts at the introduction, as academic style guides require.
Perguntas frequentes
Can I start at a number other than 1?
Yes. Set any starting value - useful when the document continues from an earlier volume that ended at page 84.
Will the number sit on top of existing text?
It can if the page already has a footer. Increase the margin or move to a different corner; the preview shows the collision before you commit.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Excluded pages get no stamp, and you can decide whether they still consume a number in the sequence.
Are stamped numbers editable later?
They become part of the page content, so they are not text you can re-edit. Keep your unnumbered original if you expect to repaginate.
