Embedded files are easy to miss. Many browser PDF viewers do not show the attachments panel at all, so a document can arrive carrying the spreadsheet you actually needed and you would never know it was there.
This lists everything embedded in the file with names, sizes and types, and saves it all out as a ZIP. You can run several PDFs at once, which is the practical way to check a whole batch rather than opening each one to look.
It is also a useful audit step. Attachments are content that travels with a document without appearing on any page, so knowing what is inside a file matters before you forward it on.
