EPUB is reflowable by design: text adapts to the screen it is being read on, which is ideal on a phone and impossible to print predictably. PDF is the opposite - fixed pages, identical everywhere.
Converting means committing to a page size, and that choice is the one that matters. A6 gives you paperback-like pages with comfortable line lengths; A4 fits far more text per page but produces long lines that are harder to read. Pick based on whether the result is for printing or for reading on a tablet.
Chapter structure becomes PDF bookmarks, so the navigation survives the conversion. Embedded images, tables and inline formatting are carried across.

Are chapters navigable in the PDF?

Will DRM-protected ebooks convert?
No. Files with DRM cannot be read by the converter, and removing DRM may breach your licence terms.
Why does my page count look wrong?
EPUB has no inherent pages, so the count depends entirely on the page size, font size and margins you chose.
